Yuval Hen is an Israeli photographer and visual artist whose work focuses on the human condition and its relationship to the environment. He has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
Born in Jerusalem in 1975, Hen studied photography at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various publications and organizations. His work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine, National Geographic, and The Guardian.
Hen's photographs often explore themes of identity, displacement, and belonging. He has traveled extensively throughout Israel and Palestine to document life on both sides of the conflict. His work has been exhibited internationally at galleries such as the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, The Jewish Museum in New York City, and The Photographers' Gallery in London.
In addition to his photographic work, Hen is also a filmmaker. He has directed several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world. In 2017 he released his first feature-length documentary film titled "The Land Between Us," which explores life on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through interviews with people living there.
Hen currently lives and works in Tel Aviv where he continues to explore themes of identity through his photography and filmmaking.
