Yura Mazagaev is a Russian photographer and filmmaker who has been capturing stunning images of the world around him since the early 2000s. Born in Moscow, Russia, Yura developed an interest in photography at a young age and began taking pictures of his friends and family. He soon realized that he had a talent for capturing the beauty of everyday life and decided to pursue photography as a career.
Yura attended the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, where he studied photography and filmmaking. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, GQ, Esquire, Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and many more.
In addition to his commercial work, Yura has also created several personal projects that explore themes such as nature, travel, culture, and identity. His photographs have been exhibited in galleries around the world including London’s Saatchi Gallery and New York’s Museum of Modern Art. He has also won numerous awards for his work including the International Photography Awards (IPA) in 2017.
