Yung Hua Chen is a Taiwanese-American photographer and visual artist based in New York City. Born in Taiwan, Chen moved to the United States at the age of seven and grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey.

Chen's photography has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Guardian. His work has also been exhibited at galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Chen's photography focuses on capturing everyday moments that often go unnoticed. He is particularly interested in exploring themes of identity, culture, and belonging through his work. His photographs often feature people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, as well as scenes from his travels around the world.

In addition to his photography career, Chen is also an active member of the Asian-American community in New York City. He regularly volunteers with organizations that promote Asian-American visibility and representation in media and art. He also serves as a mentor for young photographers who are just starting out in their careers.

Chen's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including a Lucie Award for Documentary Photography and a PDN 30 Award for Emerging Photographers. He was also named one of PDN's 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch in 2020.
