Yu Jing-Pin is a Taiwanese photographer and visual artist whose work focuses on the exploration of identity, memory, and the human condition. Born in Taipei in 1975, Yu Jing-Pin studied photography at the National Taiwan University of Arts before receiving her MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Since then, Yu Jing-Pin has exhibited her work internationally, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the International Center of Photography in New York City, and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. Her photographs have been featured in numerous publications such as The New Yorker, The Guardian, and The Wall Street Journal.

Yu Jing-Pin's work often explores themes of identity and memory through a combination of documentary photography and staged scenes. She often uses her own family as subjects for her photographs to explore how personal memories can shape our understanding of ourselves and our relationships with others. Her work has been praised for its ability to capture intimate moments that evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing.

In addition to her photographic practice, Yu Jing-Pin is also an active member of the Taiwanese art community. She has served as a mentor for young photographers through various organizations such as the Taiwan Photographers Association and is an advocate for greater representation for women photographers in Taiwan.

Yu Jing-Pin's work continues to be exhibited around the world and she remains an important voice in contemporary photography today.
