Yasmine Kateb is an award-winning photographer and visual artist based in Paris, France. She has been capturing the beauty of the world around her since she was a child, and her work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions around the world.
Yasmine was born in Paris in 1985 to a family of Algerian descent. She grew up surrounded by art and culture, which inspired her to pursue photography as a career. After studying photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France, she began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers.
Yasmine's work focuses on capturing moments of everyday life, often with an emphasis on people and their stories. Her photographs have been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, Le Monde, Vogue Italia, and many more. She has also exhibited her work at galleries across Europe and North America.
In addition to her photography career, Yasmine is also an active member of the international art community. She is a founding member of the collective “Les Photographes” which works to promote diversity within the photographic arts. She is also a mentor for young photographers through organizations such as “Photographers Without Borders” and “Women Photograph”.
Yasmine's passion for photography continues to drive her creative vision today. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) Gold Award for Fine Art Photography (2018), International Photography Awards (IPA) Honorable Mention (2017), and Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) Silver Award for Fine Art Photography (2016).
