Yaniv Edry is an Israeli photographer and visual artist based in Tel Aviv. He is best known for his unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.
Born in Jerusalem in 1982, Yaniv Edry grew up surrounded by the beauty of the Middle East. From a young age, he was drawn to the visual arts and began experimenting with photography as a teenager. After completing his military service in the Israeli Defense Forces, he studied photography at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.
In 2006, Yaniv moved to Tel Aviv to pursue a career as a professional photographer. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue Italia, Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, and The New York Times Magazine. He has also exhibited his work at galleries around the world including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Jewish Museum Berlin.
In addition to his commercial work, Yaniv is also an avid traveler who has documented his journeys through photographs. His travels have taken him to places such as India, Nepal, Thailand, Morocco and Ethiopia where he captures stunning images that reflect his unique vision of the world around him.
Yaniv’s work is characterized by its strong sense of composition and color as well as its ability to capture emotion and atmosphere. His photographs are often described as dreamlike or surrealistic due to their use of light and shadow play combined with unexpected angles and perspectives.
Through his photography Yaniv seeks to explore themes such as identity, memory and belonging while also capturing moments that are both beautiful and fleeting. He continues to push boundaries with each new project he takes on while inspiring others with his unique vision of the world around us.
