Xu Qing is a Chinese photographer and visual artist based in Beijing. She is best known for her work exploring the relationship between humans and nature, often featuring landscapes and wildlife in her photographs.

Born in Beijing in 1985, Xu Qing developed an interest in photography at an early age. She studied photography at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, graduating with a degree in photography and video art. After graduation, she began working as a freelance photographer, shooting for magazines and newspapers.

In 2010, Xu Qing held her first solo exhibition at the Beijing Art Museum, showcasing her work from around China. Since then, she has exhibited her work internationally at galleries and museums such as the Tate Modern in London and the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. Her work has also been featured in publications such as National Geographic and The New York Times Magazine.

Xu Qing's photographs often feature natural landscapes that are both beautiful and hauntingly desolate. She has said that she hopes to capture the beauty of nature while also conveying its fragility through her images. Her work has been praised for its ability to evoke emotion through its composition and use of light.

Xu Qing continues to explore themes of nature and humanity through her photography today. She is currently working on a project about climate change which will be exhibited later this year.
