Xing Yan is a Chinese photographer and visual artist based in Beijing. She is best known for her vibrant and colorful photographs that capture the beauty of everyday life in China.
Xing Yan was born in Beijing, China in 1985. She studied photography at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where she graduated with a degree in photography and video art. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer, shooting for various magazines and newspapers.
In 2010, Xing Yan held her first solo exhibition at the Beijing Art Museum, showcasing her work from the past decade. Since then, she has exhibited her work around the world, including at galleries in New York City, London, Tokyo and Shanghai. Her work has been featured in publications such as Vogue China and Harper’s Bazaar China.
Xing Yan’s photographs are often characterized by their vivid colors and unique perspectives on everyday life in China.
