Vincent Gapaillard is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. He is best known for his unique and creative approach to photography, which combines elements of fashion, documentary, and fine art.
Gapaillard was born in Paris in 1982. He studied photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France, where he graduated with honors in 2006. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and publications. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and L'Officiel.
In addition to his commercial work, Gapaillard has also developed a personal body of work that focuses on themes of identity and belonging. His photographs often explore the relationship between people and their environment, as well as the idea of home and displacement. He has exhibited his work internationally at galleries such as Galerie Huit Arles (France), Galerie Esther Woerdehoff (Paris), and The Photographers' Gallery (London).
