Vera Maslieva is a Russian-born photographer and visual artist based in New York City. She is best known for her captivating and evocative photographs of the human form, often featuring surreal elements.
Maslieva was born in Moscow, Russia in 1983. She studied photography at the Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia in Moscow, graduating with honors in 2006. After graduation, she moved to New York City to pursue her career as a photographer.
Maslieva's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C., among others.
