Todd Barry is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and photographer. He was born in The Bronx, New York City on March 26, 1964. He attended the University of Florida where he earned a degree in English. After college, he moved to New York City and began performing stand-up comedy at open mics around the city.
Barry's career as a comedian has spanned over three decades and he has appeared on numerous television shows including Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Comedy Central Presents. He has also released several comedy albums including Super Crazy (2012), Crowd Work Tour (2014), and The Crowd Work Tour: Part Two (2015).
In addition to his stand-up career, Barry is also an accomplished photographer. His work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Time Out New York, and The Village Voice. His photography focuses on capturing everyday life in New York City and often features candid shots of people going about their daily lives. He has also published two books of his photography: Todd Barry's NYC (2009) and Todd Barry's Brooklyn (2013).
Barry currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife and two children. He continues to perform stand-up comedy around the world while also pursuing his passion for photography.
