Thomas Mangieri is an award-winning photographer and visual artist based in New York City. He has been capturing the beauty of the world through his lens for over 20 years.
Mangieri was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in a creative family. His father was a painter and his mother was a sculptor, so it's no surprise that he developed an interest in art at an early age. He began taking photographs as a teenager, and soon realized that this was his true passion.
Mangieri attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography. After graduating, he worked as a freelance photographer for several years before launching his own studio in 2004. Since then, he has become one of the most sought-after photographers in the industry.
Mangieri's work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, GQ, and The New York Times Magazine. He has also exhibited his work at galleries around the world including The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and The National Portrait Gallery in London. In addition to his commercial work, Mangieri is also known for his personal projects which explore themes such as identity and belonging.
Throughout his career, Mangieri has won numerous awards including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Photographer of the Year (2015), Lucie Award for Outstanding Achievement (2016), and PDN 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch (2017).
