Terry Tsiolis is an award-winning photographer and director based in New York City. He has worked with some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Reebok. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, GQ, and Harper’s Bazaar.
Tsiolis was born in Athens, Greece and moved to the United States at the age of 18. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he studied photography and film. After graduating, he began his career as a freelance photographer working for various magazines and advertising campaigns.
In 2004, Tsiolis was awarded the International Center of Photography Infinity Award for Applied/Fashion/Advertising Photography. Since then he has gone on to win numerous awards for his work including a Cannes Lion Award for Best Cinematography in 2008.
Tsiolis’s work is known for its bold use of color and light as well as its unique composition. He often uses natural light to create dramatic images that capture the beauty of everyday life. His photographs have been exhibited around the world including at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City and The Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
In addition to his photography career, Tsiolis also works as a director creating music videos for artists such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga. He has also directed commercials for major brands such as Nike and Adidas.
Tsiolis currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children where he continues to pursue his passion for photography and filmmaking.
