Tania Saraiva is a Portuguese photographer and visual artist based in Lisbon. She has been working in the field of photography since the early 2000s, and her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications around the world.

Saraiva's work focuses on themes of identity, memory, and place. She often uses her own family history as a source of inspiration for her photographs, exploring the idea of home and belonging. Her images are often characterized by a dreamlike quality, with an emphasis on light and color.

Saraiva has exhibited her work in galleries across Europe, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Lisbon, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Photographers' Gallery in London. Her photographs have also been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, Vogue Portugal, and National Geographic.

In addition to her photographic practice, Saraiva is also an educator. She teaches workshops on photography at universities across Portugal and regularly gives lectures on art and photography at conferences around the world. She is also a member of several professional organizations including the Portuguese Association of Photographers (APF) and the International Center for Photography (ICP).

Saraiva's work has earned her numerous awards over the years including first prize at the International Photography Awards (IPA) in 2018 for her series “The Other Side”. In 2020 she was awarded a grant from Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian to support her ongoing project “The Memory of Place” which explores how our memories shape our understanding of home.
