Talia Chetrit is an American photographer and multimedia artist based in New York City. She is best known for her intimate portraits of family, friends, and strangers, as well as her experimental use of digital media.
Chetrit was born in 1981 in New York City to a Jewish family. She attended the School of Visual Arts in New York, where she earned a BFA in photography. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer and multimedia artist.
Chetrit's work has been exhibited widely throughout the United States and Europe, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Her photographs have also been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and Vogue Italia.
In addition to her photography work, Chetrit has also created several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world. Her most recent film project is a feature-length documentary about her father's life titled "My Father's War".
Chetrit currently lives and works in Brooklyn with her husband and two children. She continues to explore new ways to express herself through photography and multimedia art.
