Sven Banziger is a Swiss photographer and filmmaker who has been capturing stunning images of the world around him for over two decades. Born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1971, Sven developed an early interest in photography and filmmaking. After studying photography at the University of Zurich, he began his career as a freelance photographer and filmmaker.
Throughout his career, Sven has traveled extensively to capture stunning images of landscapes, people, and cultures from around the world. His work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, and Time Magazine. He has also won numerous awards for his work including the World Press Photo Award in 2006 for his series on the conflict in Darfur.
In addition to his photographic work, Sven is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed several documentaries including “The Last Days of Darfur” which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2008. He is currently working on a feature-length documentary about the conflict in Syria titled “The War Within” which is set to be released later this year.
