Stéphane Milhomme is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. He has been working in the field of photography since the early 2000s, and his work has been featured in numerous publications, exhibitions, and festivals around the world.
Stéphane was born in Paris in 1979. He studied photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (ENSP) in Arles, France, where he graduated with honors in 2003. After graduating, he began to work as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Le Monde Magazine, and Vogue Italia.
In addition to his editorial work, Stéphane has also created several personal projects that explore themes of identity and memory. His series “The Memory of Time” was exhibited at the Rencontres d’Arles festival in 2008 and won the Prix du Livre Photo award at the same event. In 2010 he was awarded a grant from the French Ministry of Culture for his project “The Invisible City” which explored urban landscapes through a series of photographs taken from an aerial perspective.
Stéphane’s work has been exhibited internationally including shows at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris, The Photographers Gallery in London, and The Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) in Chicago. He is represented by Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire gallery in Paris and his works are held by several public collections including those of Centre Pompidou-Metz and Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes.
