Sophie Delaporte is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. She is known for her unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people and their environment.

Delaporte was born in Paris in 1982, and grew up surrounded by art and culture. She studied photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France, where she graduated with honors in 2006. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer for various publications, including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and Grazia.

Delaporte's work has been exhibited internationally at galleries such as the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes in France, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo. Her photographs have also been featured in numerous books and magazines around the world.

In addition to her photography career, Delaporte is also an active member of the artistic community. She has served as a jury member for several international photography competitions and has taught workshops on photography at universities across Europe. In 2017 she was awarded the Prix Pictet for her series “The Human Condition” which explored themes of identity and belonging through portraiture.

Delaporte continues to push boundaries with her work by exploring new ways to capture emotion through her lens. Her photographs are a testament to her passion for capturing moments that tell stories about our lives and our world.
