Sophia Aerts is a Belgian photographer and visual artist based in Brussels. She is known for her unique and captivating style of photography, which often combines elements of nature, architecture, and the human form.
Aerts began her career as a photographer in the early 2000s, when she was still a student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. After graduating, she moved to Brussels to pursue her passion for photography full-time. Since then, she has become one of Belgium’s most renowned photographers, exhibiting her work in galleries around the world.
Aerts’ work often focuses on themes of identity and belonging. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe and beyond to capture images that explore these themes from different perspectives.
