Shingo Wakagi is a Japanese photographer and visual artist based in Tokyo, Japan. He is best known for his unique and creative approach to photography, which often combines elements of traditional Japanese art with modern digital techniques.

Born in Tokyo in 1975, Shingo Wakagi developed an interest in photography at an early age. He began taking pictures of his friends and family, as well as the cityscape of Tokyo. After graduating from high school, he attended the Tokyo College of Photography where he studied under renowned photographers such as Nobuyoshi Araki and Daido Moriyama.

In 2000, Shingo Wakagi began exhibiting his work at galleries around Japan. His first solo exhibition was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in 2002. Since then, he has had numerous solo exhibitions around the world including New York City, London, Paris and Berlin. His work has also been featured in several international publications such as Vogue Japan and Harper’s Bazaar Japan.

In addition to his photographic work, Shingo Wakagi is also an accomplished visual artist who creates installations using a variety of materials such as paper, fabric and light. His installations often explore themes related to nature and the environment. He has exhibited his installations at galleries throughout Japan and abroad including the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
