Sergio Bejarano is a Colombian photographer and visual artist based in Bogotá. He is known for his unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, street, and fine art photography.

Bejarano began his career as a photographer in the late 1990s, when he was still a student at the University of Los Andes in Bogotá. He quickly developed an interest in documentary photography and began to explore the streets of Bogotá, capturing its people and culture. His work soon gained recognition from local galleries and publications, leading to his first solo exhibition in 2001.

Since then, Bejarano has gone on to become one of Colombia’s most renowned photographers. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Tate Modern in London. He has also published several books featuring his photographs, including “Bogotá: A Photographic Journey” (2005) and “Colombia: A Photographic Exploration” (2008).

In addition to his photographic work, Bejarano is also an active member of the Colombian art community. He regularly participates in workshops and lectures on photography and visual arts throughout Latin America. He is also a founding member of the Colombian Photography Association (ACF), which works to promote Colombian photographers both locally and internationally.

Bejarano’s work continues to be highly acclaimed by critics around the world for its unique blend of documentary realism and artistic expression. His photographs capture moments that are both intimate and universal, offering viewers a glimpse into Colombia’s vibrant culture and history.
