Sebastian Simanowski is a German photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. He is known for his unique approach to photography, combining traditional techniques with digital technology to create stunning images.

Simanowski was born in Berlin in 1975 and grew up in the city's vibrant art scene. He studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, Germany, where he developed an interest in documentary photography. After graduating, he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers, including Der Spiegel and Die Zeit.

In 2006, Simanowski began to focus on his own artistic projects, exploring themes such as identity, memory and urban landscapes. His work has been exhibited internationally at galleries and museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He has also published several books of his photographs, including “Berlin: A City of Contrasts” (2008) and “The City That Never Sleeps” (2010).

Simanowski's work has been featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian and National Geographic. He has also collaborated with brands such as Adidas and Mercedes-Benz on advertising campaigns. In addition to his photographic work, Simanowski is also an active member of the Berlin art community, teaching workshops on photography at universities around the world.
