Sayuri Ichida is a Japanese photographer and visual artist based in Tokyo. She is known for her unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people and their environment.

Born in Tokyo in 1982, Sayuri has been interested in photography since she was a child. She studied photography at the Tokyo College of Photography, where she developed her skills and honed her craft. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer, shooting for magazines and advertising campaigns.

In 2010, Sayuri released her first book of photographs titled “The World Through My Eyes” which showcased her unique vision of the world around her. Since then, she has released several other books including “The City of Dreams” (2012) and “The Human Condition” (2015). Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, The Photographers Gallery London, and The International Center of Photography New York.

Sayuri’s work often focuses on themes such as identity, memory, and nostalgia. She uses a combination of traditional film photography as well as digital techniques to create her images. Her work has been praised for its ability to capture moments that are both intimate and universal at the same time.

Sayuri continues to push boundaries with her photography by exploring new ways to capture the beauty of everyday life. Her work is an ongoing exploration into how we experience our lives through our own eyes.
