Ruvan Wijesooriya is a Sri Lankan-born photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. He is best known for his vibrant, colorful images that capture the beauty of everyday life.
Wijesooriya was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1982. He moved to the United States at the age of 18 to pursue a degree in photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer and quickly gained recognition for his unique style and eye for detail.
Wijesooriya has since become one of the most sought-after photographers in the world, shooting for major publications such as Vogue, GQ, and The New York Times Magazine. His work has also been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and at galleries in London and Tokyo.
