Roy Peri is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions around the world. Born in Israel in 1965, Roy developed a passion for photography at an early age. He studied photography at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, where he graduated with honors.
After graduating, Roy moved to New York City to pursue his career as a professional photographer. His work quickly gained recognition and he was soon shooting for some of the most prestigious magazines and newspapers in the world. His photographs have been featured in publications such as The New York Times, National Geographic, Time Magazine, and many more.
In addition to his editorial work, Roy has also created several award-winning fine art projects that have been exhibited around the world. His projects often explore themes of identity, culture, and history through a unique visual language that combines documentary-style photography with elements of abstraction.
Roy's work has earned him numerous awards including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Documentary Series (2014), the Lucie Award for Fine Art Photographer of the Year (2015), and the Hasselblad Masters Award (2016). He has also been honored with solo exhibitions at galleries such as The Jewish Museum in New York City and The Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Israel.
