Roman Goebel is a German photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. He is known for his unique and creative approach to photography, which often combines elements of surrealism, abstraction, and minimalism.

Goebel was born in Berlin in 1983 and grew up in the city's vibrant art scene. He studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, Germany, where he developed an interest in experimental photography. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers.

In 2010, Goebel released his first book of photographs entitled "The Unseen". The book featured a collection of abstract images that explored the relationship between light and darkness. Since then, he has released several other books including "The Unseen II" (2012), "The Unseen III" (2014), and "The Unseen IV" (2016).

Goebel's work has been exhibited around the world including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. His photographs have also been featured in numerous publications such as Vogue Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, and The Guardian.

Goebel continues to push boundaries with his photography by exploring new techniques and concepts. His work is often described as dreamlike and evocative; it captures moments that are both beautiful and mysterious.
