Rohan Shrestha is an Indian photographer and filmmaker based in Mumbai. He is best known for his fashion, advertising, and celebrity photography.
Shrestha was born in Kathmandu, Nepal in 1985. He moved to Mumbai at the age of 18 to pursue a career in photography. After completing his studies at the Sir J.J. School of Art, he began working as an assistant to renowned fashion photographer Prabuddha Dasgupta.
In 2008, Shrestha launched his own photography studio and quickly established himself as one of India's leading photographers. His work has been featured in numerous magazines such as Vogue India, Elle India, Harper's Bazaar India, GQ India, and L'Officiel India. He has also shot campaigns for brands such as Nike, Reebok, Levi's, and Samsung.
In addition to his commercial work, Shrestha has also directed several short films and music videos for artists such as Amit Trivedi and Vishal-Shekhar. His work has been screened at various film festivals around the world including Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.
Shrestha is currently working on a feature-length documentary about the life of legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan which is set to be released in 2021.
