Rodrigo Marques is a Brazilian photographer and visual artist based in São Paulo. He has been working in the field of photography since the early 2000s, and his work has been featured in numerous publications, exhibitions, and festivals around the world.
Marques’s work is characterized by its strong sense of composition and its focus on capturing moments of everyday life. His photographs often feature people in their natural environment, as well as landscapes and cityscapes. He also serves on the board of directors for FotoRio, an organization that promotes photography education and workshops throughout Brazil.
Marques’s work has earned him numerous awards over the years, including first place at the International Photography Awards (IPA) in 2014 and 2016; first place at the Latin American Fotografia Festival (LAF) in 2015; second place at the Sony World Photography Awards (SWPA) in 2016; third place at the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) in 2017; and honorable mentions at both IPA and SWPA multiple times since 2014.
