Rodrigo Enriquez is a Mexican photographer and visual artist based in Mexico City. He is best known for his work in documentary photography, which often focuses on social issues and the lives of marginalized communities.

Enriquez was born in Mexico City in 1982. He studied photography at the Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseno de Monterrey, graduating with a degree in Visual Arts in 2006. After graduation, he began working as a freelance photographer, focusing on documentary projects that explored the lives of people living on the margins of society.

In 2008, Enriquez was awarded a grant from the Mexican National Fund for Culture and Arts to pursue his project “The Other Side of Mexico”, which documented the lives of people living in poverty throughout Mexico. The project was exhibited at various galleries and museums throughout Mexico and abroad, including the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City and the International Center for Photography in New York City.

In 2010, Enriquez was awarded a fellowship from Magnum Photos to pursue his project “The Invisible People”, which focused on documenting the lives of undocumented immigrants living in Mexico. The project was exhibited at various galleries and museums throughout Europe and North America, including the Photographers Gallery in London and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Enriquez has also worked as a commercial photographer for various publications such as National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine, Newsweek Magazine, El Pais Magazine and many others. His work has been featured in numerous books and exhibitions around the world.

Enriquez continues to work as a freelance photographer while also teaching workshops on documentary photography at universities throughout Mexico. He is currently working on several long-term projects that explore social issues such as migration, poverty and inequality.
