Rahel Weiss is a Swiss-born photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. She is known for her unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people, nature, and the environment.

Rahel was born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1983. She studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lucerne, Switzerland, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006. After graduation, she moved to Berlin to pursue her career as a photographer.

Since then, Rahel has worked on numerous projects around the world including assignments for magazines such as Vogue Germany and Stern Magazine. Her work has been exhibited internationally at galleries such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

In addition to her commercial work, Rahel also works on personal projects that explore themes such as identity, memory, and belonging. Her work often combines elements of documentary photography with staged scenes to create powerful images that capture moments of beauty and emotion.

Rahel's work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, and National Geographic Magazine. She has also received numerous awards including the Leica Oskar Barnack Award for her series “The Other Side” which explored life on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian border.

Rahel continues to push boundaries with her photography by exploring new ways to tell stories through her images. Her work is an exploration of our relationship with nature and our environment that speaks to us all on a deeper level.
