Philippe Lacombe is a French photographer and filmmaker who has been capturing the beauty of the world for over two decades. Born in Paris in 1971, he developed an early interest in photography and began taking pictures at the age of 15. After studying photography at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, he went on to work as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers.
In 2000, Philippe moved to New York City where he began to focus on documentary photography and filmmaking. His work has taken him around the world, from India to Africa, Europe to South America. He has documented a wide range of topics including poverty, war, human rights issues, and environmental issues. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine, National Geographic Magazine, and The Guardian.
In addition to his photographic work, Philippe has also directed several short films which have been screened at film festivals around the world. He is currently based in Paris where he continues to explore new ways of telling stories through his photography and filmmaking.
