Philipp Mueller is a German photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. He is known for his unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.
Mueller began his career as a freelance photographer in the early 2000s, shooting for various magazines and newspapers. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, GQ, and The New York Times Magazine. He has also exhibited his work in galleries around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
In addition to his commercial work, Mueller has also created several personal projects that explore themes such as identity, memory, and place. His series “Berlin Stories” was awarded the Leica Oskar Barnack Award in 2017.
Mueller’s work has been recognized by numerous awards and honors including the International Center of Photography Infinity Award for Applied/Fashion/Advertising Photography (2015), the Prix Pictet Commission (2016), and the Hasselblad Masters Award (2017). He was also named one of PDN’s 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch in 2018.
