Peter Hapak is an award-winning photographer and director based in New York City. He has been shooting for over 20 years, and his work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, TIME, GQ, Vanity Fair, and ESPN The Magazine.
Born in Poland in 1975, Peter moved to the United States at the age of 12. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he studied photography and film. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various publications.
In 2004, Peter was awarded the prestigious Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Magazine Photography by the University of Missouri School of Journalism. This award recognizes excellence in magazine photography and is given to only one photographer each year.
Peter's work has been exhibited around the world including at the International Center of Photography in New York City and at galleries in Paris, London, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. His photographs have also been featured on book covers and have been used by companies such as Apple and Microsoft for their advertising campaigns.
In addition to his photography career, Peter is also a director who has created music videos for artists such as John Legend and Alicia Keys. He has also directed commercials for brands like Nike and Adidas.
