Olaf Wipperfürth is a German photographer and filmmaker who has been capturing stunning images of the world around him for over two decades. Born in Berlin in 1971, Olaf developed an early interest in photography and filmmaking, which he pursued throughout his education. After graduating from the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, Germany, he began working as a freelance photographer and filmmaker.
Throughout his career, Olaf has traveled extensively to capture stunning images of landscapes, people, and cultures from around the world. His work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic Magazine, Stern Magazine, and The New York Times. He has also won numerous awards for his photography including the World Press Photo Award in 2004 and the Leica Oskar Barnack Award in 2006.
In addition to his photography work, Olaf is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed several documentaries including “The Last Days of the GDR” (2006) and “The Return of the Wolves” (2008). His films have been screened at festivals around the world including Cannes Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.
