Nicky De Silva is a professional photographer based in London, England. He has been taking photographs for over 20 years and has built a successful career in the industry.
Nicky was born in London and grew up with a passion for photography. He started taking pictures at an early age, and by the time he was 16 he had already developed his own unique style of photography. After graduating from high school, Nicky attended the University of Westminster where he studied photography and film production.
After university, Nicky began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work quickly gained recognition and he soon became one of the most sought-after photographers in London. He has since worked with some of the biggest names in fashion, music, art, and entertainment including Vogue Magazine, The Guardian newspaper, BBC Radio 1, and many more.
Nicky's work has been featured in numerous publications around the world including The New York Times Magazine, The Sunday Times Magazine, GQ Magazine, Elle Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, and many more. He has also been commissioned to take photographs for advertising campaigns for some of the world's leading brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma and Reebok.
In addition to his commercial work Nicky also works on personal projects which focus on social issues such as poverty and homelessness. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including The National Portrait Gallery in London and The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
