Nick Knight is a renowned British fashion photographer, filmmaker, and creative director. Born in 1958 in London, England, Knight began his career as a fashion photographer in the early 1980s. He quickly gained recognition for his unique and innovative approach to photography, which often featured surreal elements and unexpected juxtapositions.
Knight has worked with some of the world's most prestigious fashion houses and magazines, including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Dazed & Confused, and W Magazine. He has also collaborated with many of the world's top designers such as Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, and Yohji Yamamoto. His work has been exhibited in galleries around the world including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
In addition to his photography work, Knight is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed music videos for artists such as Björk and Lady Gaga as well as short films for fashion houses like Dior and Louis Vuitton. In 2011 he founded SHOWstudio.com – an online platform dedicated to showcasing fashion film and live streaming runway shows from around the world.
