Nadav Kander is an internationally acclaimed photographer, artist, and director. Born in Israel in 1961, he moved to London at the age of nine and has since become one of the most influential photographers of his generation.

Kander's work is known for its unique blend of beauty and darkness, often exploring themes of mortality and the human condition. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications including The New Yorker, The Sunday Times Magazine, and Vogue. He has also exhibited his work in galleries around the world including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.

Kander's career began when he was commissioned to photograph a series of portraits for a book about British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. This project led to further assignments from magazines such as GQ and Esquire. In 2006 he was awarded a fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society for his work on Yangtze - The Long River which documented life along China's longest river.

In addition to his photography career, Kander has directed several award-winning short films including Dust (2008) which won Best Short Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. He has also directed commercials for clients such as Nike and Apple as well as music videos for artists like Coldplay and U2.

Kander continues to push boundaries with his photography by exploring new techniques such as digital manipulation and 3D printing. His work has been collected by major institutions around the world including The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, The National Gallery in London, and The Centre Pompidou in Paris.
