Myles Loftin is a photographer, director, and creative based in Brooklyn, New York. He is best known for his vibrant and emotive portraiture that captures the beauty of Black youth culture.
Loftin was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and grew up in a creative household. His mother was an artist and his father was a musician, so Loftin was exposed to art from an early age. He began taking photographs at the age of 12 and quickly developed a passion for the craft.
In 2016, Loftin graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a degree in photography. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer and quickly gained recognition for his work. His photographs have been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Vogue, GQ, and Teen Vogue.
In addition to his photography work, Loftin has also directed music videos for artists such as SZA and Kehlani. He has also collaborated with brands such as Nike and Adidas on campaigns that celebrate Black culture.
Loftin’s work is focused on celebrating Black youth culture and creating positive representations of Black people in media. He hopes to use his platform to inspire young people to pursue their dreams and create meaningful change in their communities.
