Mounir Raji is a Lebanese-born photographer and visual artist based in Los Angeles. He is best known for his vibrant, surrealistic images that explore the human condition and the beauty of everyday life.
Raji was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983. He grew up surrounded by art and culture, which had a profound influence on his creative development. At the age of 18, he moved to Paris to pursue a degree in photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie. After graduating, he worked as an assistant to renowned fashion photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino before moving to Los Angeles in 2008.
In LA, Raji began to develop his own unique style of photography that combines elements of surrealism with documentary-style portraiture. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue Italia, The New York Times Magazine, and Harper’s Bazaar. He has also exhibited his work at galleries around the world including the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles and the Musée des Beaux Arts de Montréal.
