Monika Lis is a Polish photographer and visual artist based in Warsaw. She is best known for her surreal and dreamlike images that explore the relationship between nature and the human body.
Lis was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1983. She studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating with a degree in photography and multimedia art. After graduating, she began to explore her own unique style of photography, combining elements of nature with the human form. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the National Museum of Photography in Tokyo.
Lis’s work often features surreal landscapes and dreamlike scenes that explore themes of identity, femininity, and nature. Her photographs are often characterized by their vivid colors and ethereal quality. She has also collaborated with fashion designers to create unique editorial images for magazines such as Vogue Poland and Elle Poland.
