Born in New York City in 1965, Mike developed an early interest in photography. He began taking pictures of his family and friends at a young age and soon realized that he had a natural talent for capturing beautiful images. After graduating high school, Mike attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan where he studied photography and fine art.

After college, Mike began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work was quickly recognized by the industry and he was soon hired by National Geographic Magazine as a staff photographer. During his time with National Geographic, Mike traveled to some of the most remote places on earth to capture stunning images of wildlife and landscapes. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Time Magazine, The New York Times, and The Washington Post.

In addition to his work with National Geographic Magazine, Mike has also worked as a commercial photographer for many well-known companies such as Apple Inc., Microsoft Corporation, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. He has also done extensive work with non-profit organizations such as World Vision International and Doctors Without Borders.
