Maurizio Montani is an Italian photographer and visual artist based in Milan. He has been working in the field of photography since the early 1990s, and his work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications around the world.

Montani's work is characterized by a strong sense of composition, often featuring bold colors and geometric shapes. His photographs explore themes of identity, memory, and place, often focusing on the urban landscape of his native Italy. He has also worked extensively with portraiture, capturing intimate moments between people and their environment.

Montani's work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, including at the Palazzo Reale di Milano, the Museo di Roma, and the Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Bologna. His photographs have also been published in several books, including "The City as a Memory" (2009) and "The Human Landscape" (2012).

In addition to his photographic practice, Montani is also an active member of the Italian art community. He regularly participates in workshops and lectures at universities throughout Italy, as well as teaching photography classes at various institutions.
