Mauricio Ramírez Hernández is a Mexican photographer and visual artist based in Mexico City. He is known for his vibrant and colorful images that capture the beauty of everyday life in Mexico.
Born in Mexico City, Mauricio developed an interest in photography at an early age. He began taking pictures of his family and friends, and soon realized that he had a passion for capturing moments. After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue photography as a career and enrolled in the National School of Photography in Mexico City.
Mauricio has since become one of the most renowned photographers in Mexico, with his work being featured in numerous publications and exhibitions around the world. His photographs have been exhibited at galleries such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey. He has also been featured on television programs such as CNN en Español and Univision’s Despierta America.
In addition to his photography work, Mauricio is also an active member of several organizations dedicated to promoting Mexican culture through art. He is a founding member of Fotografía Mexicana Contemporánea (FMC), which works to promote Mexican photographers both nationally and internationally. He is also a board member of Fotógrafos Unidos de México (FUM), which works to support emerging photographers from all over Mexico.
Mauricio’s work has been recognized with numerous awards including the National Photography Award from the Mexican Ministry of Culture, as well as awards from organizations such as FMC and FUM. His photographs have been published in books such as “Mexico Through My Lens” (2015) and “The Colors of Mexico” (2017).
Mauricio continues to be an active photographer today, capturing moments that reflect both beauty and truth about life in Mexico.
