Matthias Ritzmann is a German photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. He is known for his unique and creative approach to photography, which often combines elements of nature, architecture, and the human form.
Ritzmann was born in Berlin in 1975 and grew up surrounded by art and culture. His father was a painter, while his mother was a sculptor. From an early age, he was exposed to the world of art and photography, which would later become his passion.
Ritzmann studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, Germany. After graduating in 2000, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work has been featured in publications such as Stern Magazine, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, and The New York Times Magazine.
In addition to his commercial work, Ritzmann has also created several personal projects that explore themes such as identity, memory, and nature.
