Matthew was born in California and grew up in a small town near San Francisco. He developed an early interest in photography and began taking pictures of his family and friends at a young age. After graduating high school, he attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Photography.
After college, Matthew moved to New York City where he worked as a freelance photographer for several years before launching his own business.
