Matthew Sprout is a renowned American photographer whose work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, and Vanity Fair. He is known for his captivating portraits of people from all walks of life, as well as his stunning landscapes and cityscapes.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1982, Matthew developed an early interest in photography. He began taking pictures with a 35mm film camera at the age of 12 and quickly developed a passion for the art form. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Photography.
After college, Matthew moved to New York City to pursue his career as a professional photographer. His work quickly gained recognition and he was soon shooting for some of the most prestigious publications in the world. His photographs have been featured on magazine covers and have won numerous awards including PDN's 30 Under 30 Award and American Photography's Open Call Award.
In addition to his editorial work, Matthew has also shot advertising campaigns for major brands such as Nike, Apple, and Samsung. He has also collaborated with celebrities such as Rihanna and Taylor Swift on music videos and album covers. In 2020, he released his first book titled "The Art of Seeing: A Photographer's Journey" which showcases some of his most iconic images from around the world.
