Matthew's attitude towards photography in general is to keep things as natural and believable as possible while at the same time capturing the emotion and spirit of the person or people he is photographing. He gets most of his inspiration from everyday life and his interaction with others.

Self taught photographer Matthew Brookes was born in Sheffield, England and grew up in South Africa. Moved to Paris 10 years ago and is now based between Paris and NY.
Advertising clients include Burberry, Cartier, Paco Rabanne, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Z Zegna and Tommy Hilfiger.
Editorial Clients include Vogue Hommes, Numero, Numero Homme , French Vogue , German Vogue... American Vogue , GQ , Interview , NY Times (T Magazine ) and Vanity Fair.
