Marcus Palmqvist is a Swedish photographer and visual artist based in Stockholm. He is known for his unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.
Born in Stockholm in 1982, Marcus developed an interest in photography at an early age. He began taking pictures with his father's old camera and soon realized that he had a passion for capturing moments and telling stories through his images. After graduating from high school, Marcus attended the University of Gothenburg where he studied photography and visual arts.
In 2006, Marcus moved to Stockholm to pursue a career as a professional photographer. Since then, he has worked with some of the biggest names in fashion and advertising including H&M, Volvo, and IKEA. His work has been featured in numerous publications such as Vogue Italia, Elle Sweden, and The New York Times Magazine.
In addition to his commercial work, Marcus also creates personal projects that explore themes such as identity and belonging. His photographs have been exhibited around the world including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Hasselblad Center in Gothenburg.
Marcus continues to push boundaries with his photography by experimenting with new techniques and exploring different perspectives on life. He believes that photography is an important tool for understanding our world and hopes to inspire others through his work.
