Mar Mateu

Mar Mateu is a Spanish photographer and visual artist based in Barcelona. He is best known for his unique and captivating images of the urban landscape, which often feature a combination of architecture, nature, and people.

Mateu was born in Barcelona in 1975 and grew up surrounded by the city's vibrant culture. From an early age, he was drawn to photography as a way to capture the beauty of his surroundings. After studying photography at the Escola de Fotografia de Barcelona, he began working as a freelance photographer in 1998.

Mateu's work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, and The Guardian. He has also exhibited his work at galleries around the world including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

In addition to his photography career, Mateu is also an avid traveler who has visited over 50 countries around the world. His travels have inspired many of his photographs which often feature exotic locations such as India, Morocco, and South America.
