Magda Zych is a Polish photographer and visual artist based in Warsaw. She is best known for her surreal and dreamlike images that explore the relationship between nature and the human body.
Born in 1985, Magda grew up in a small village near Warsaw, Poland. From an early age, she was fascinated by the beauty of nature and its power to evoke emotion. She began taking photographs at the age of 12, using her father’s old camera to capture the landscapes around her home.
In 2006, Magda moved to Warsaw to study photography at the Academy of Fine Arts. During this time, she developed her own unique style of photography that combines elements of surrealism with traditional portraiture. Her work often features dreamlike scenes with figures interacting with natural elements such as trees, flowers, and water.
In 2010, Magda had her first solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Since then, she has exhibited her work in galleries around Europe and has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue Italia and The Guardian. Her work has also been featured in several books including “The Art of Magda Zych” (2014) and “Dreamscapes” (2016).
Today, Magda continues to explore themes of nature and identity through her photography. She is currently working on a new series that focuses on the relationship between humans and animals.
